Useful information for Start-ups:
- Who can take part in the DEMOCAMP as a Start-up?
Designers or representatives of the project, for which the Internet is overwhelming part of the overall business model (organization of the project may have informal character provided presented to demonstrate the rights of the project).
- Can Bloggers or smaller online publishers also take part as Start-ups?
Main goals of the DEMOCAMP are to promote innovative solutions using the Internet and to stimulate the cooperation environment among IT, entrepreneurs and other participating-parties. That's why we invite Bloggers to participate as an Observer (for details check DEMOCAMP's home page).
- What opportunities do I have as a Start-up?
As a Start-up you can:
1. Apply for an exhibition space that will allow you to present your project and team to the whole audience during networking sessions. The registration is open to a maximum of 50 Start-ups. Upon payment of the registration fee, which amounts to 199 PLN, start-ups will be able to present at the stands. Remember: this ticket is not equal to start-up presentations in front of jury, so please apply for qualification if needed.
2.Apply for free for taking part in the competition in front of an international Jury during the Start-Up Competition. Important notice: "Application for PRESENTATION" ticket does not guarantee obtaining a positive qualification - we will choose 12 start-ups that will be invited to present their teams and projects in front of international jury and democamp audience.
We highly encourage you to check out both options to obtain valuable feedback from all participants and face up the real challange of competing with amazing projects.
- What does Start-up eligible for participation in exhibition gets?
Start-Up eligible for an exhibition space will receive a numbered position (table, 4 chairs, access to electricity). As part of the exhibition space, Start-Up may organize their involvement in any way - provided it won't be disturbing for other Start-ups (eg. too loud or too wide-ranging presentation of the use of space). The organizer will also provide access to the electricity network and will make all diligence to ensure access to the Internet. More information here
- Do I have to use my own laptop during the presentation in Start-Up Competition?
No, it won't be necessary. We provide you a MacBook, which can open every presentation :)
- Our project has contributed to 5 people - can all representatives represent ours Start-Up?
5 people can represent the Start-Up under one ticket. Please send your names and emails to fundacja@polak20.pl.
General questions
- What should I do if I want to participate as a VC or other funding organization representative?
To participate as a VC you have to fill out the registration form pay the registration fee, which amounts to 976 PLN. One ticket is tantamount to one person. You can also apply for an exhibition space separately. For sponsorship opportunities please contact us with fundacja@polak20.pl.
- What should I do if I want to participate as a Participant (Day One) or as an Observer (Day Two)?
To participate as a Participant or as an Observer you have to fill out the registration form. You can sign up here.
- Does the Organizer offers parking place?
Yes, he does. Near the Poznan International Fair, where Democamp will take place, there is a car park for registered participants.
