How will we choose the best start-ups during DEMOCAMP’s DAY TWO?

As you know we selected 14 start-ups that will present in front of Judges during DAY TWO (please take a look at final event’s schedule – we will have 3 one-hour competition sessions).

Every start-up will have 7 minutes of presentation time followed by 4 minutes of comments + questions & answers time (11 minutes total). Judges will be provided with evaluation sheets so that they could benchmark an invidual presentation according to business criteria (business model, team, promotional strategy, competition).

In addition to judges’ voting we will conduct another voting among all observers via SMS.

At the end of DAY TWO we will award three start-ups from 2 categories – professional voting and observers voting.

Show your start-up on lookr.tv during DEMOCAMP!

In theory good project doesn’t need advertisement. In practice, however, you need to convince others that your start-up is worth interesting and financing. Now you have this opportunity with a special project created by lookr.tv – “Elevator to success”.

The rules are simple: during the Democamp lookr.tv will record 2 minute speech about your project. The only thing you should do is to answer following questions:

- What is your start-up?
- Who is the target of your project? What benefits he gets from your site and why?
- What is your business model?
- Are there any competitive projects on the market? If so, what makes your start-up different from them?
- What does your project need to succeed?

Here’s the link to exemplary clip.

During the Democamp every project will be able to obtain such a clip, regardless of whether it takes part in Start-up Competition or presents at the start-up exhibition space. The only thing you should do is to be prepared for a short speech about your project.

“Elevator to Success” offers your start-up great promotion on the network. Films will be published and promoted on websites: startups.pl, lookr.tv and democamp.org.

Questions? Suggestions? Mail to info@lookr.tv or let us know if you need any help.

Last day to obtain 20% discount!

Hi! We feel duty of informing you that today is the last opportunity to get exhibition table (for start-ups, VCs, companies) with a 20% discount.

Check details

We receive many questions (at democamp@democamp.org) asking whether exhibition table is worth the money and whether it is obligatory for the start-up.

It is NOT obligatory but in our opinion exhibition-space is a must-have. Why? It’s your “address” during the whole exhibition day. Having your branded table it is much easier for other participants, VCs representatives, media to find you and speak with you. Last year we prepared more than 25 exhibition tables for start-ups.

That’s how it looked in Nov 2008:
